{§Â§}Clan Rules and Server Guidelines

{§Â§}Clan Rules:
A Tradition that the {§Â§} clan has had from the old days is its code of honor. Not only does this code describe how {§Â§} members should act, it also explains how we wish others to act towards us.

To achieve our goal of becoming a truly elite squad, the rules of {§Â§} have been developed to promote a gaming environment characterized by integrity, teamwork, fair play, and fun.

Code of Conduct
All members are expected to act in a mature manner while wearing the {§Â§} tags. This means no flaming, poor sportsmanship, or foul language. Also, never accuse anyone of cheating unless it is obvious to all players in the game, or you have proof in the form of a screenshot. Report all cheaters to the Council and, if you have proof, to ¥¥Z.

Cheat Policy
{§Â§} does NOT condone the use of any trainers or cheats which give a player an unfair advantage over the field. The use of errors in the program (known as Glitches) that can be avoided is also prohibited. Use of such a program is grounds for immediate dismissal from the squad. Anyone cheating or glitching will be permanently banned. All new members will be cross-referenced against {§Â§} lists of known cheaters and also against various 'hall-of-shame' lists posted by other squads. We fight clean.

Internal Rank
Rank is issued at {§Â§} at the Clan Leaders discretion. This is mainly based on skill level, participation, and most importantly dedication to the squad.

Communications
To ensure efficient teamwork in the game we use Teamspeak and X-Fire. Outside the game, our optional communications system is Msn Messenger for IM's and the {§Â§} Forums for match and squad information. Check it regularly. All members must have working copies of X-Fire, Teamspeak, as well as a headset with microphone and a full-duplex sound card to send and receive voice communications, no exceptions.

Membership
If a member needs to take time off, please inform the Clan Leader and we will work it out. {§Â§} does not allow cross-membership or double-membership with other clans at any time. Information concerning clan issues that has not been made public on the {§Â§} website or forums is to be kept private and not discussed with other clans or players in the online gaming community.

Resignation
Should a member decide to leave the squad, notify the Clan Leader first out of respect for the squad and the team.

Age
The age restriction for {§Â§} is 18 and older. (Some Exceptions for Younger Mature Players)

Tags
Members are to wear tags at all times while in our server and at match/scrimmage play.

Trial
All new recruits will go through a one month trial period. During this time the recruit will participate in the squad activities to give the {§Â§} council a chance to evaluate his/her performance.

Council
The {§Â§} council consists of the Clan Leader, Co-Leader, and some Clan Elders. The council and clan elders has final say in all matters regarding squad issues.

{§Â§}Server Rules:
We ask our guests to please observe the following guidelines to avoid being kicked or banned. Infractions can be reported to YYZ and the council. Please take screenshots if possible. We reserve the right to boot/ban anyone we deem to be acting inappropriately.

CHEATS
Cheats of any kind are prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in the immediate and permanent ban from all SAS servers.

DISRUPTIVE PLAY, a few examples are:
Text spamming
Repetitive voting
The deliberate blocking of team-mates
Destroying friendly assets
Intentional team killing/contributing to being team killed. (ie jumping in front of vehicles)
No Base camping of uncapable bases (large red circle with a line through the centre) unless all other flags are capped. We encourage sportsmanship in this situation, so as to allow the opposition time to regroup.

PROFANITY
Children play on our servers. Keep your language clean at all times. No swearing, vulgarity or racial remarks.

SPRAYS
No pornographic or offensive sprays allowed. Again, children play on our servers.

VOIP
Respect fellow players. This means no swearing, harassment, racism, sexual remarks, spamming or anything else that can be deemed offensive.

HARASSMENT
Have respect for your fellow players.

VERBAL FIGHTING & CLAN BASHING
Take it elsewhere.

Suggested Etiquette

CHAT KILLING
Permissible in the {SAS} servers unless it is clear someone is giving lessons. In game, move on to the next target if you come across someone chatting. Accidents do happen so a quick "sorry" helps to smooth ruffled feathers.

SPAWN KILLING & SPAWN TRAPS
This is war, so if you cannot protect your base, it WILL happen! In game, camping or placing traps/tags at spawning points is frowned upon. Better players do not resort to this. Killing someone that has just spawned without giving them a chance to be aware of your presence is unskillful. An exception is on the smaller maps where it cannot be avoided in a crowded server.

CLAN RECRUITING
{SAS} asks that our servers, which are paid for primarily by {SAS} members, are not used by other clans to actively and excessively recruit. We are willing to help out other clans with renting out server time, having practices with them and in various other ways, but those clans that are in a recruiting phase should host their own server during such time as it is part of the recruitment process. This includes using our servers to conduct tryouts. As indicated, if you want to conduct tryouts contact us and ask about booking time on the {SAS} servers.
